Diesel Fitter | HV Mechanic

Haynes is seeking trade qualified and experienced Diesel Fitters and HV Mechanics to join our team in Townsville.

Key Duties:

• Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on Light Vehicles, Heavy Vehicles, Earthmoving Machinery, Crushing Equipment and Highway Trucks
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and overhauls on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other heavy equipment components within a timely manner
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment accurately
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery to complete tasks
• Ensure all work is carried out is carried out in complaince with safety standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet operational requirements

About you:

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar field
• Proven experience working with Heavy Diesel Machinery
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Proficient use of diagnostic tools
• Hold a current Drivers Licence
• Safety first attitude
• Be able to pass a National Police Clearance
• Be able to pass a Pre Employment Medical with Drug and Alcohol Screen
